Vintage Inspired Christmas Mantel 2019

The plan was to share our breakfast nook Christmas tablescape next but after I took pics of our Christmas mantel this afternoon I just could not resist sharing!

Our mantel this year is just full of vintagey ,cottagey charm y'all!

I have to say I think it is one of my most favorite to date!

I was able to use vintage pieces I already had like the antique mirror frame and antique window. Santa I purchased back at the old house a few holidays before we moved. He was perfect to stand in front of the frosty window.

Probably one of my favorite finds this year are the blow mold style candy cane stripe candles! They are battery operated which is a plus but the only thing is I did wish they had a timer one them. I always have to remind myself to switch them off at night before turning in.

With the updated fireplace "tile" the entire space really pops. I used garland that I have had for several years now as well as my favorite "Twas The Night" sign I made at the old house years ago. The felt bows are a favorite find from Walmart this year. I needed a few more but they sold out and I could never find anymore.

This little blow mold snowman I found at Kroger on sale. He is battery operated as well but I never turn him on. My men think he looks evil when he is all aglow. LOL. The skinny trees are from AtHome and were a bargain deal of the week back in early November. I added fairy lights and snow which is just cotton stuffing.

To make them even more fun I embellished their pots with vintage inspired holiday images.

Rudolph is about 14 years old. I wish he was able to show off his nose for y'all but sadly when I went to plug in him I realized one of the prongs had fallen off. I need to see if I can find another plug like he has because he is super cute!

I have always loved vintage Christmas items and so this year it was so much fun to go all out with the theme! Ya just can not help but to smile when you see everything.

Meanwhile to the side someone who was not getting any attention decided to rearrange the couch cushions and throw the pillow on the floor I had just placed there all pretty just in case it was in the pics. LOL.

So up next I will be sharing our breakfast nook tablescape. I promise! I actually do not have any other area completed fully. I need to put a few finishing touches on the porch and then tackle the dining room. It still looks like a bomb of Christmas went off in there.
Are you still decorating or are y'all done?

  1. Your room is delightful. It takes me back to a simpler time . . . a bit of a Norman Rockwell period.
    Great Job!!!

    1. Thanks Beck! I haven't seen Santa available in quite a few years. He came from Decor Steals or Antique Farmhouse. They offer different items all the time. I would say to contact them and see. Some companies carry the same product year after and maybe they can order one for you.
