Christmas In The Breakfast Nook Part 1

Who is still busy decking the halls? I started just before Halloween and thought that was a good start but here I am with only a few areas completed and it is now December! I am a hopper and can never seem to stay focused on just one area. How about y'all? I have managed though to complete the open shelving in our breakfast nook. I took so many pictures that I am breaking the open shelving up into two posts. 

I have to tell y'all I was so excited to deck the halls in our breakfast nook! It is the first holiday season since it's makeover and I had so much fun going all out with the holiday decor. I want our home to feel warm and inviting to where when you walk around you just can't help but to smile because of all the holiday cheer up in here. 

I knew I wanted to go with a Gingerbread theme but also use pieces I love like my Pioneer Woman Jadeite that I have been collecting the past few years as well as my vintage Santa mugs.

Look at the tiny Gingerbread cookie ornaments! They are from Walmart. Candy Canes are handmade from Christmas past.

Santa is a new addition this year. I spied him at Kroger of all places. He was on sale and went with my theme so in the cart he hopped. The "Today's Specials" sign I have used for many many years now. I found it at HomeGoods.

I fell in love instantly when I saw Ree post on her FaceBook page about her new holiday line. These are the dessert plates. I had to order a lot of it online since most of the Walmarts around my area do not carry it in store. They have the Jadeite plates but that is it. 

Vintage Christmas decor makes my heart happy so when I saw this little angel at Walmart back when they first started putting out holiday I snatched her right up. She takes me back to Christmas when I was little. Best thing is that her candle is on a timer so no worrying about turning her on and off and it flickers.

Speaking of vintage Christmas I have a few vintage inspired snowmen shakers.

These faux Gingerbread cookies are actually 98 cent ornaments from Walmart. As soon as I saw them I knew they would be perfect!

Mrs. Claus Cookie Co. sign came home with me a few years back when I was at Michaels. I believe they still carry it in case ya want one too. 

Some more Pioneer Woman holiday dinnerware. Can we just take a moment and look at that reindeer pitcher! Isn't it just the neatest piece!? I ordered him and a Santa pitcher this year from Target when they were on sale. Word to the wise DO NOT order him, instead buy him in store. Mine came broken because he was basically just thrown in a box with one thin layer of bubble wrap that didn't even fully cover him. Thankfully I was able to locate one at a Target nearby.

I purchased these Jadeite cupcake stands from the Pioneer Woman line back in 2016 when they were on clearance. I have so much fun using them in my vignettes thru out the year. A great basic to have.

To get the cookies to stand up I just used a little hot glue. 

The Gingerbread cookie jar came from HobbyLobby at 50% off. Pompom garland is made by Razz Imports and from a local shop.

I hope that y'all enjoyed the first of our holiday decor this year! I have so much more to share...once I get it all completed. LOL. I also have a new addition to share in our dining room. Santa came early and he thought that I was a really good girl this year! LOL. Come back tomorrow to see what he brought me.
