Shopping with Mom- Laurie's Home Furnishings

My mom came to town a few weeks back and we left the men folk at home and enjoyed a day of shopping. I decided to take her to a store we had never been to before. My friend Brenda told me about it a few years back. I fell in love with it when we went there but since it is all the way across town I do not go back often. 

I figured a visit with mom was in order so we headed off to Laurie's Home Furnishings out in Tomball, Tx. 

This store is full of eye candy with a style for everyone. 

You like the Restoration Hardware look? Not a problem, she's got that.

If you like more of a glamorous modern look no problem she has that too and of course she has ton of decor/furnishings that fit into a farmhouse themed home as well.

One of the first things you will notice when you walk thru the doors is all of the gorgeous lighting Laurie's carries.

These chandeliers were some of my favorite.

If we were building right now this bathroom vanity would have had to come home with me. It was gorgeous and a great price for such a substantial piece. 

I dream of the day I have space for a french cabinet.

She has several to choose from.

There are chairs galore to pick from. I love this one. It was a green tartan print.

How about a seafoam velvet chair?

She has several graphic chairs available too that I thought were neat.

I love the skirted bottom on this one.

So many choices in dining tables. She has a 10 foot long zinc top farm table I wish I could have gotten a good pic of. It was simply gorgeous and I would have bought it too if we were building and had a place for it.

Lauries carries so many accessories.

This piece is huge but beautiful. If you love it and do not live here in Houston I know Antique Farmhouse carries it from time to time on their site. That is where my mom first saw it. She was even more in love with it when she saw it in person but there was no way to carry it home on the plane!;)

I loved this chair.

I almost purchased a hare pillow.

These Madonnas were beautiful!

I highly recommend a visit to Laurie's if you live in the Houston area and never have been. You could spend hours looking around. If and when we ever build it will certainly be one of the first shops I go to for pieces in our home.

Of course we purchased few things while we were there. I would say it is almost impossible to leave Laurie's empty handed. My mom bought me something special for my birthday. Can you guess from the pictures what it may have been? I will share in an upcoming post. Hint, it is something I have always wanted but never could find at a decent price.
