Spring Break with Tim McGraw & Antiquing

Last week was spring break for us. It rained most of the week but we managed to have some fun despite the fact.

One of the things we did was to go to a few antique malls. I had not been antiquing since the end of summer so it was nice to get out and treasure hunt.

This architectural piece I have seen over at Antique Farmhouse. It looks even more fabulous in person.

I am a sucker for Santos Cage Dolls.

This antique bust form was divine and I wish it could have been mine but at almost $500 it staid put.

I surprisingly enough did not find anything that I just had to bring home. This lamp was the closest. The price was a tad high but if it is still there this week it may hop in my car.

Now I am sure you all are wondering where Tim is!;) He did not go antiquing with us but we did spend the evening with him at Rodeo Houston. We have been in Texas for 14 years and had never been to the rodeo if you can imagine that.

Littliest was excited because he had been wanting to see Tim McGraw in concert for awhile now. He even had his Papa buy him a black cowboy hat.

The jumbotron at NRG Stadium is the largest in the world I think Mr. Front Porch Said. Do not quote me on that though but I swear that is what he said. This is when the star spangle banner was sung to kick off the rodeo festivities for the night.

It was pretty fascinating watching them bring the stage out for the concert and put it together. As Tim was on his way out they had fireworks. Talk about a grand way to start the show!

If you are a Tim McGraw fan and have never been to one of his concerts I tell ya you are missing out. He put on a great performance. Now mind you I had not been to a concert in over 16 years but it was pretty awesome. He engaged with the audience and spent some of the songs off stage walking around and shaking hands with his fans. He went around the entire bottom of the filed.

Though we did not have seats down by the field there truly was not a bad seat in the house. The jumbotron helped with that as well as the stage that rotated in a circle.

My men are all back at school and work and The Nana & The Papa are back in Ga so things are quiet around here once again. At least for a few days and then my mama comes!:)
