Season 2 kicked off with "The Little House On The Prairie" remodel. She had a sign made for the couples bathroom. A sign that held a special meaning for Mr. Front Porch and I. "Grow Old With Me" was our song at our wedding and I told Mr. Front Porch how I so wished Joanna sold that sign in her online shop. Right after I said that I decided to go online during a commercial break and see. Sure enough it was listed for sale! You can only imagine my delight and how quickly I hit the purchase button.
My sign came in the mail two days later! I am so glad that I did not hesitate about the purchase because there is now an 8-12 week waiting list for the "Grow Old Along With Me" sign. Not only do I love it because it has our wedding song verse on it but I also love the fact that it is made by a local Waco artisan Jimmy Don who owns Stars Over Texas which specializes in custom Metal Art. I have had my sign for weeks now hemming and hawing over where I wanted to place it in our home and this week I finally decided. |
This pic is from two years ago when I updated our living room with new paint and bought a new couch. Since we recently added wood beams...reveal coming soon I promise...I decided it was time to change up the gallery wall which made the perfect spot for the sign but it also meant more projects. |
The shutters have received a french coat of Duck Egg. |
I dug out some salvaged vintage picture frame pieces my mom gave me a few years back. |
They received some updating as well. |
And of course that lead to some more painting. I think I pretty much have the wall figured out and will share the reveal on Sunday. |
My husband and I love that show also! Love the sign (and the saying). Have a great weekend!

I adore that show. I was tickled to meet Chip at the event they had in Waco in October. I stalk the images for great ideas to incorporate. Do you really think he ate a cockroach? I love your sign and I'm so happy you were a swift shopper. Next time I'm in Waco, I'm going to their shop.
ReplyDeleteGreat show! I like her online shop, too...your sign is wonderful. So sweet that it was your wedding song. Have a great weekend! Jane
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that show. I would have them build us a Fixer Upper in a minute. I love everything JoJo does with décor. I have Magnolia Farms in my favorites. Many things on my list!
