How I Found My Style Sundays- The Creek Line House

Happy Sunday, everyone! I'm so happy to be here as part of How I Found My Style Sundays and follow in the footsteps of so many other stylish bloggers before me! My name's Courtenay and I blog over at The Creek Line House where I share easy-peasy farmhouse decorating and homekeeping tips on a semi-regular basis.

  I live with my husband and 2 cute kids in a 114 year old farmhouse that we're slowly (slooooowly) renovating and restoring and trying to live with in the process. It's a dream come true for sure, and one I didn't think I'd be able to live out for many many years, but when the chance came three years ago we sold our townhouse in the city and jumped on it! 

 So where did I find my style? Do I even have a style? Honestly, I'm not totally sure if I have the right answer to those questions. I know that I have been able to create a home that's in a style that I love, even if that style changes over time. I guess my "style" if you can call it that comes from wanting to keep my home in a style that's appropriate for it being a farmhouse while also getting to play around with all the fun and ever-changing home decor ideas I see all over the place. So I guess "modern farmhouse" would be my style? Does that sound right?

Other than a bit of history, and my surroundings, I find my style inspiration from the same place most of you probably do. Blogs, magazines, obsessively watching decor shows, all that fun stuff. Then I bring the ideas back home, try them out, mess them up, and come up with something entirely different that still somehow seems to work for me!

I don't know if I'll ever be able to say I'm the most stylish blogger out there, but I definitely have lots of fun playing around and trying to make this crazy old house into something for us to enjoy!
