Hey everybody! I hope that y'all had a fabulous 4th of July holiday. We took a 10 day trip to Georgia and enjoyed every minute of it. We spent time chasing lightening bugs and just enjoying being with our family that we do not get to see often enough.
One of the things my mama and I love to do is shop so we visited all our favorite places.
Romantic Farmhouse is a great shop and one of our favorites. |
If I could have fit this fella in the car he would have had to come back to Tx with us. |
Across the river is another wonderful place we like to go shop. Littliest went with us and loved this old car. |
Of course the shopping did not end at my mama's house. There are some places at The Nana & The Papa's house that I love to visit as well. |
This time we were able to fit in a trip in to Alpharetta and shop Queen of Hearts. |
They had so many baskets at reasonable prices I wanted to bring home. |
Gorgeous bed! |
I thought this sign was pretty funny. I would think it would be fairly easy to replicate. I looked closely and the letters were actually just decals. |
These lamps I thought were gorgeous. |
I also paid a visit to the Queen of Hearts just down the road from The Nana & The Papa. |
I was thrilled to finally get to meet up with my bloggy friend Kim from Savvy Southern Style! We tried meeting up before and ended up at opposite shops. Kim is just as wonderful in person as she is on her blog. I look forward to meeting up again hopefully the next time we are out that way. |
Kim and I walked around talking and shopping so I did not get many pics. |
These old windows stopped us both in our tracks. I fell in love with the large arched one and Kim the one behind it. Can you believe the arched one was only $225!? I thought that was an amazing deal. If I lived in the area I would have found a way to get it home for sure. Ten days went by way too fast and we truly hated to leave. I wish I could have staid longer to be able to attend Haven with all my bloggy pals this week but maybe next year. I hope they all have a wonderful time! Visiting these fabulous spots- Coastal Charm-Show & Share Savvy Southern Style- WOW |
Looks like a fabulous trip - you hit some great stores, and how fun to meet Kim!
ReplyDeleteGlad we met up at the same shop this time! I spy a cool breadboard at the Alpharetta store. I will be going there Thursday early so maybe it will still be there. Probably more than I want to pay though.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a road trip I would sign up for! So many wonderful things in your photos. UHaul!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing bloggers from different areas meet up- how fun to meet Kim.
The law firm sign is hilarious.
All of the shops look amazing! I would love to take a trip there - it is less than 4 hours from here. Kim and I have met a few times. It is always fun to be with her.
ReplyDeletePamela,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your shopping trip with us at Show and Share. I always like to stop in at the Queen of Hearts when I am in Atlanta. Thanks for the intro to Romantic Farmhouse...looks like I need to check it out next time I'm there.
Blessings,
Linda
The southern gals doing southern things in the south. I took the FB quiz, and I'm 84% southern so I could vacation with you.
ReplyDeletePamela,
ReplyDeleteOh I loved shopping along with you. I spied a lot of treasures I would love. What a couple of amazing places. So fun you got to meet up with Kim. I know you will all have fun at Haven this coming week end. Enjoy.
I agree that arch window is amazing and I too would have been trying to figure a way to get it home. Gorgeous piece and great price.

ReplyDeleteGreat shops, Pamela! I would have had a great time walking around and checking all that stuff out. That law firm sign is funny - I've seen that somewhere before {a movie maybe ?} and love the play on words. That bed is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you and your mom had a great time shopping together and then be able to meet up with Kim too!!...I have shopped that QOH with Kim and they have great things!....Hopefully one day I will be able to meet you too Pamela!....Glad you had a great vacation and home safe and sound!!
ReplyDeleteThose look like some great stores! I have a friend that moved to Alpharetta, and I think if I ever get to go visit her I am going to have her take me shopping!! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks Lovely
ReplyDeleteI live in Atlanta and would love to visit Romantic Farmhouse. In which city is it located? I've googled and can't find it. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteJDGeorgia it is actually in Augusta. We have family in both places so we split our time.
DeleteWow! I so wish I was there to walk through those shops! I too went on a 10 day trip into PA and NY, hoping to find some great thrifting but didn't find much! I am surprised to see how the thrift stores in GA look like department stores from the outside. You don't see that in Upstate NY!!
ReplyDeletePamela, looks like you had a fabulous time! I love the Romantic Farmhouse! What beautiful things! The Queen of Hearts is one of my favorite place to shop in Atlanta! It looks like you and Kim had a wonderful time! She is a sweet person! I appreciate the invite to shop with you and am so sorry I was sick. This "crud" just won't leave! Hopefully, we can meet up next time!
ReplyDeletePamela,
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing these wonderful shops!! And you and Kim together too!!
Hugs,
Deb
What a great surprise to see you shopping in my neck of the woods! And then another surprise to see you with Kim! I didn't know that y'all met up. Aren't those shops great? I haven't heard of the Romantic Farmhouse shop before. It looks like a good one.
ReplyDeleteI came over to read your post after a friend gave me a head's up that you had visited with us at Riverfront Antique Mal in North Augusta. I have followed you for ages and wish I could have met you. Lovely post about the treasures around here.
