Can you guess the one thing in this space that was bugging the heck out of me? If you guessed the t.v. armoire you would be right. |
It flows so much better now in our space and I could not be more pleased with how it turned out. |
These are the same knobs I used in our kitchen makeover. They are from HobbyLobby. |
I used a combination of Old White and Old Ochre for this project. |
So there ya have my last project of 2013! Be sure to check back in for my top projects of 2013. |
Gorgeous! It does flow better in the space :) Happy New Year!

Looks like it was meant to be! I get those strange urges to paint late at night, too. Luckily I can usually fend them off with ice cream. ;)

It looks lovely, Pamela. Great that you got it done too and it fits in so well. I painted our kitchen hutch over the Christmas holidays last year and it inspired other projects as well. Wishing you and your loved ones all the best in 2014.
ReplyDeleteHow crazy is that to start a big project right before Christmas? I would do exactly the same thing! Your TV armoire is perfect and I love the knobs. We have a HL now that is driving distance from our home now so I'll have to take a field trip to check out all their knobs. I love your flooring also.
ReplyDeleteFor the first time today I noticed that you had a shop (a little slow here) and I paid it a visit. What wonderful things you've collected to sell. Has that gone well for you? I'm toying with the idea of doing some online selling myself.
Huge blessings to you in the new year Pamela. I love your blog and your wonderful party!
Patti
awesome job sometimes a big deadline is just the kick in the pants we need love how your amoire turned out
ReplyDeleteMuch better in white and I usually start my projects at an odd time and usually in my pajamas.
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful! And yes, pjs and late nights make for the BEST projects!!
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela -- I'm new to your arts n crafts. I'm an Ole Woodie, but learning some new retirement activities. My question is "What is/are the 'News clipping looking things' on the inside of the armoire doors? They were there before refinishing in your first photo. Loved the look and your techniques and finishes. Don Wurner
ReplyDeleteDon they are just book pages from a book I bought at the dollar store. I will take um down eventually and probably put beadboard there instead.
DeleteBeautiful! Love it :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Was wondering what exactly the color ratios you used are? Exact color I have been looking for!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I'm about to paint one just like it. Did you finish with wax, poly, or other?
ReplyDeleteThank you Nancy! I just finished it off with clear wax.
DeleteLove this transformation! You did a beautiful job & definitely sparked inspiration for my armoire make over that I am about to take on! Did you prime the piece first before painting it?
ReplyDeleteNo. Just lightly sanded it with a sanding block so that the paint had something to grab to.
