So right now this space is not very inspiring what so ever. I think I am going to take the clock back. Although as nice as it is I want to brighten this space up and since I can not repaint due to the two story nature I think the mirror display will be best. I also want to make new curtains and possibly even take away the iron scrolly piece above the window.
I have been on the hunt for a bench with similar lines as my inspiration pic with the window. HobLob had one I think but when I went back to look at it of course it was gone. Today though I picked something up that may change the whole bench idea.
So that is what I have been up to. Planning out grand plans! It of course did not stop at the stair landing. I have dreams for our living room and our half bath and our master bedroom! All little fixes but of course all cost money so off to paint some more furniture to sell!;)
Hope your weekend is going well!

Love the idea of the mirrors, I think they will look fabulous. How about hanging your new drapes about a foot or more above the window for some extra impact. It would help with all the empty wall space above the window and not make it look so cut off. A chandy would be stunning. Maybe find one at the GW and paint it. Can't wait to see your changes. Hugs, marty
ReplyDeleteHey Pam, What a great space to work with! I think the clock is cute, very smart to bring it home and see if it worked ;) I hear you on the painting vaulted spaces. Yikes. It's no fun. What about chunky white shutters on each side of the window, then maybe a awning style fabric valance along the top? Could be cute? Frenchy looking too. A bunch of mirrors and some of those gorgeous frames you do on the stairs wall would look good. You are so good at those.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the mirrors and have considered that idea myself for our stairs. You are lucky to have such a generously sized landing and it will look great with a piece of furniture.
