Copy Cat- Yep that is me!

To copy is the greatest form of compliment! It means you were a wonderful inspiration to somebody else! The main reason we all blog is to share our ideas and to transfer those ideas to our own homes with our own personal touches. We are each others Pottery Barn & Ballard catalogs!:)

Have y'all seen this amazing chair that Deborah did over at Upcycling My Very Ordinary Life!? If not be sure to head over and pay Deborah a visit! She is one crafty lady! When I saw her chair it was love at first!! I knew I had to try and re create this chair.
Just so happens out in the garage I had this chair I purchased several weeks back. It was just perfect for this project!

This chair was nasty y'all! It took me a part of two days and and an entire thing of Clorox wipes to clean it up!

I finally finished cleaning it up and brought it inside because it got up to 105 today. Way to hot to be outside! I used my Chateau Gray Annie Sloan paint for the base color. As you can see it is rather thin so it was going to require more than one coat.

Two coats later and this is what I got. Next I busted out my Old White chalk paint and well forgot to take a pic so just imagine it!;) I will say that I officially hate anything with spindles! They take forever to paint!!

This is where I am at this evening. I am hoping to get this project completed tomorrow sometime. I can not wait!!

Hope your Friday is going well y'all! Also if y'all have a treasure ya wanna share be sure to head over to Treasure Hunt Thursday and link up! I would love to have ya stop by and party with me and the rest of the ladies!

  8. I know what you mean about the chairs with spindles - I just painted 6 of them today for a friend! It is way too hot to do the easier spray paint, so instead I opted for prime and paint indoors, my right arm and hand is aching from holding the paintbrush all day!

  9. Oh I love this idea! I have to find a place to use it! If you have time, could you give a little detail about your lettering? As in....what did you use to get it on the chair?? : )

Thanks & thanks for stopping by my blog!
