If I use the iron pieces by the side tables than I am left with what to do over the bed. Hmmm, what to do? I am very excited to finally be able to accessorize our bedroom! I was giddy when I hung the mirror on the wall today!:)
Off to pin our sheets back up so we can go to sleep tonight and fold some clothes. Not very exciting for a Friday night but I wouldn't change it for anything! Okay, that was a lie. I would love to have a folding fairy and I can't wait till we have blinds and real window treatments but I think ya got what I ment!;)
Have a good one! |
lookin good girl!!! Can I just say we have been in our house almost 8 years and I still have not finished my bedroom!
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela~
ReplyDeleteI am loving the new paint- so light and warm!! Can't wait to see more! Great job! :)
Your oops paint seems to be very neutral and should be easy to decorate with. Good work.

The only bedroom I'm sorry I did a color is our small spare bedroom. I would redo that now in a creamy white so I could change colors up a bit in there.
ReplyDeleteI would get bigger lamps; the scale of the ones you have are kind of small. I just saw a big sale at Home Goods yesterday, but if you are one of the lucky ones with a Ross, Kirklands and Hobby Lobby, I'm sure you'll be able to get an even better deal. Or, for now, put some books under them to bring them up a bit. Over the bed you could do a long frame type thing - perhaps your monograms in vinyl. Did you ever see Joys of Home blog where she did similar in her dining room over the buffet?

ReplyDeleteDEFINITELY do taller lamps. No question about it. I love the bedding you have (tell me where you got it, please), and your $10 paint find is fab!
ReplyDeleteYou can still do an accent wall in the green (like the wall behind the bed). Then tie that green into the fabric you choose for the windows, or perhaps an occasional chair/bench.
As for artwork above the bed, I like to shop for that kind of thing at Target. They have pretty decent prices, and their stock is always current.
Can't wait to see the finished room.
Your bedroom looks so lovely and inviting!
ReplyDeleteHey girl! It looks fabulous and I think you are on the right track for creating that warm, french country feeling in there. Great job!

I love the price and colour of the paint. Bigger lamps are a must and when you put the others at the curb let me know so I can drive on by and pick them up;o) I think the iron pieces on on angle over the bedside tables would look wonderful. Over the bed...how about a shutter placed horizontally? Just a thought.
