Copy Cat- Yep that is me!

To copy is the greatest form of compliment! It means you were a wonderful inspiration to somebody else! The main reason we all blog is to share our ideas and to transfer those ideas to our own homes with our own personal touches. We are each others Pottery Barn & Ballard catalogs!:)

Have y'all seen this amazing chair that Deborah did over at Upcycling My Very Ordinary Life!? If not be sure to head over and pay Deborah a visit! She is one crafty lady! When I saw her chair it was love at first!! I knew I had to try and re create this chair.
Just so happens out in the garage I had this chair I purchased several weeks back. It was just perfect for this project!

This chair was nasty y'all! It took me a part of two days and and an entire thing of Clorox wipes to clean it up!

I finally finished cleaning it up and brought it inside because it got up to 105 today. Way to hot to be outside! I used my Chateau Gray Annie Sloan paint for the base color. As you can see it is rather thin so it was going to require more than one coat.

Two coats later and this is what I got. Next I busted out my Old White chalk paint and well forgot to take a pic so just imagine it!;) I will say that I officially hate anything with spindles! They take forever to paint!!

This is where I am at this evening. I am hoping to get this project completed tomorrow sometime. I can not wait!!

Hope your Friday is going well y'all! Also if y'all have a treasure ya wanna share be sure to head over to Treasure Hunt Thursday and link up! I would love to have ya stop by and party with me and the rest of the ladies!

Treasure Hunt Thursday #17!!

Welcome to Treasure Hunt Thursday! I am pretty much repeating what I said last Thursday for those who may be joining us this week and did not last week. As many of you know Rhonda formerly of Blue Creek Home and now My Blue Creek Home had some technical difficulties with her blog. She is still in the midst of trying to get everything ironed out so I was honored when she asked me if I wanted to take care of her Treasure Hunt Thursday party! Thank you so much Rhonda and I hope to make you proud!  Rhonda was super sweet and made the Treasure Hunt Party Button with FMFPTY on it so that everybody will recognize that it is still the same party just at a different house!:) Thank you so much Rhonda! If you have this button on your sidebar and get a chance please update your party button and URL over to my place. I would so much appreciate it!
Thank you to everybody who participated last week!! We had a total of 21 party goers! WhooHoo!! I was super excited about the turn out and hope that everybody not only continues to party with us but invites all their friends as well. Starting  next week I will do a feature post and high light every body's awesome treasures so be on the look out to see if you are featured!:)
Now on to my treasures for the week.

The boys and I made our biweekly trip to HomeGoods and I found this awesome lil' frame. It was only $2.99 but had a nick out of the corner like somebody dropped it. It was the very last one so I am guessing it was left because somebody else did not see the charm in a nicked ornate frame. I asked if they could take anything off and so I got it for just $2!!

My sunglasses broke over the weekend and I was super bummed because I did not want to shell out another $17 on a new pair. When we cruised thru the $$ section at Target I saw these for just $2.50 each!

They jumped quickly in the cart after I took um out of their bag and saw the awesome detail on the sides.

This is another HomeGoods find. I had been wanting on of these lil' caddies forever but had never found one in my price range. When I saw this one marked at just $12.99 I knew it was meant to be mine. I have several possible locations for it.

So what did y'all find this week?

As with all parties there are the normal rules. You must link back to From My Front Porch To Yours. Just common courtesy. Only link up to your Treasure Hunt Thursday post and NOT your blog homepage. Pinterest, Guest Suite, & a book.

Don't forget tomorrow August first is the last day to enter your questions for Annie Sloan!

Just last week I joined the new craze called Pinterest. I must admit at first I was kinda confused but now I am hooked! I love how I can just save all my inspiration photos to my boards and be able to trace where I got them from which comes in real handy with this blogging thing!:) I have several boards started but the one that has the most Pins is my guest bedroom inspiration board. I am on the quest to tone the guest suite down and to make it flow better with the rest of our home just in case we do end up selling next summer. It is ALWAYS best to get a jump on that kind thing instead of waiting.

I have had this inspiration pic actually saved to my desk top for like ever and had to hunt it back down for my Pinterest board. I LOVE the feel of this room and that head board is to die for. My other inspiration pics which are on my board but I am not going to post here because I have not asked permission is from Dear Lilly! I LOVE Jennifer's blog and her home is beyond AMAZING! I just do not know how she does it all and keeps up with her beautiful baby girls and a photog business and a blog! Major Kudos to her!!
I just fell in love with The New Nursery. This space is truly a master piece  and thus I am now on a quest to make our guest suite just as inviting and comfy and magnificent if that is even possible! Yes, I am proud to admit that I am on a copy cat challenge of course minus the baby crib and all!;) I hope that Jennifer does not mind!

This led me on the hunt for bedding which I have been looking at for months. I LOVE the Simply Shabby Chic line at Target. It is all girl all the way! So last night I ran up to Target because I talked The Hubster into loaning me the dough to purchase the new bedding because well it was on sale and I have yet to sell the current bedding. He agreed and so I stood in Target with Oldest & Littliest patiently waiting...well as patient as any 7 and 5 yr old boy would be in the middle of a bedding isle with girly bedding can be who where also holding their new Transformer DS games....trying to decide just what way to go. After abt 15 minutes Oldest said "Mom just buy it all and bring back what you don't want." I said brilliant idea son! I must be teaching him well!;)

This set came home minus the dust ruffle which they do not carry anymore and which I do so need.

This set came home as well.

And so did this linen duvet because well I liked the ruffled shams!:) Needless to say The Hubster was not all that thrilled that I came home with all of these though I knew exactly what I was doing and would be returning most of it. The sale was over Sat so if I waited or picked the wrong thing I then would have to wait months for it to go on sale again. With the pressure mounting I ended believe it or not returning it ALL an hour later after purchasing it and can you believe it I purchased something entirely differ!!?? I came home and The Hubster just shook his head. What can I say other than he HAS to love me cause well he signed the paper work almost 10 years ago!:)

You will just have to wait to see what I actually did bring home!:) I am now working on what to get for the guest bath!

Oh and this book also jumped in my cart while at Target! So far a very good read. SUPER funny!

Hope your weekend was a great one! Today was The Nana's birthday so Happy Birthday Nana! Wish we could have been there to celebrate with you!
