I have joined you as a follower and having read your previous post, will be quite happy if you just visit my blog a couple of times a year - so no pressure here!
This is a beautiful piece of furniture you have. I tend to agree with a previous comment and go grey but not a solid colour, just a grey wash so that the wood grain still shows.Sharon Lee Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08392930272028406164noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5594728572456250670.post-71044969607566136192011-02-22T14:48:37.012-06:002011-02-22T14:48:37.012-06:00That sweet kitty cat?? I forgot to add that if you do paint the buffet mossy green (maybe the same color you have on part of your finally finished kitchen island) I would leave the top of the buffet dark like you did on the island. PS, I love your island. You did a great job, It's simply beautiful.Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18308451204015282108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5594728572456250670.post-78784471261993371632011-02-22T08:37:43.281-06:002011-02-22T08:37:43.281-06:00Hello Pam, I love your fluffing in the dining roo...Hello Pam, I love your fluffing in the dining room. Looks Great!! I'm not sure I would paint the buffet, but if you just feel you need to, how about a nice mossy green color. I noticed you have some hints of green in your fabric and; of course, the wreath and it would also go nicely with your rooster lamp and red lamp shades. Just a thought.

Also, I just stumbled onto your blog yesterday, and looked back through some of your posts. Great blog, by the way, but was thinking what a great job with the herb crate on top of the TV cabinet. Was wondering if you have ever considered moving your TV cabinet to another wall and using that beautiful little niche for a sitting/reading area. A nice comfy chair, table and lamp and of course some accessories would look great there. You are fortunate to have such nice features in your home. And good thinking using the old foyer chandy for a cloche!Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18308451204015282108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5594728572456250670.post-86030406676329470412011-02-21T10:02:20.917-06:002011-02-21T10:02:20.917-06:00Beautiful dining room! Unless that's not the direction you want to go in...I can't decide either so I'm practically no help in the color department! :/Katyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14880982615521740741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5594728572456250670.post-67595465288656324672011-02-20T23:09:28.232-06:002011-02-20T23:09:28.232-06:00Hey girlie! I'm loving your dining room fluffing and as I'm trying to do some of that in my own dining room I'm taking notes! :-) I think you could totally get away with painting the buffet and would definitely do something similar to your bench. I really love the shutters and don't think it looks busy at all and actually agree that plates would be perfect (maybe cause I've got something similar going on a wall in my dining room!). Thanks so much for sharing this at the party this week!
VanessaAt The Picket Fencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16846200981778597675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5594728572456250670.post-5991575917405006712011-02-19T20:18:53.929-06:002011-02-19T20:18:53.929-06:00I absolutely love how you are using the shutters! ...I absolutely love how you are using the shutters! Never would have thought about that. They look perfect next to the mirror. As for the color of the buffer, I really don't know. I'm a big advocate of white but that is mainly because my home is so dark.

Good luck!Tatum @ Tatum's Takehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14366522928317066718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5594728572456250670.post-66938189269616909252011-02-19T11:54:53.142-06:002011-02-19T11:54:53.142-06:00Hi Pamela~ your dining room is lovely- and I do lo...Hi Pamela~ your dining room is lovely- and I do love the shutters with your mirror.
