Vintage Inspired Farmhouse Christmas Tree-2017

Vintage Inspired Farmhouse Christmas Tree- From My Front Porch To Yours
Our Christmas tree changes every year and though it changes I always try to use some of the same elements. You can see each of our trees from 2010-2014 in this post. Our 2015 tree can be seen here and it is actually the same tree I have up in our master bedroom this year. Our tree last year was a new one. I had fun using all the bottle brush trees on it.

Here is our 2017 tree! I used the same tree from last year. I however did not realize how small the tree actually is. I was not happy with the height of the tree so I came up with a way to give it more height by placing it in a vintage style laundry basket. To conceal the bottom of the tree I just placed a blanket in the basket. Thankfully the tree just sits right on top snug as a bug.

The past few days it has been overcast, cold and rainy making for wonderful Christmas weather but terrible for trying to take pics. I used white lights as well as a few strands of red and green.

Vintage Inspired Farmhouse Christmas Tree-Dollar Store Deer Ornament- From My Front Porch To Yours
One of my favorite ornaments are my glittered jingle bell deer that came from the Dollar Store about three years ago I think it was. As you can see I also used tinsel on the tree again. I used it a few years back and thought it was the perfect touch for this years tree. Gives it that extra sparkle.

After 5 years our Capiz Shell star quit working. Instead of running out and spending money on a new star I decided to use my book page wreath that I made a few Christmases ago. It took forever to make but I sure do love it!

With the main tree lifted up off the ground I had room for a smaller tree as well. It is actually the top of a past tree that no longer was usable as a whole. So before you throw out your old artificial trees think about how the tops make a great mini trees!
