Moving Right Along- Silestone Countertops & Farmhouse Sink

This past week things seemed to be going no where at the house but by the end of the week a bunch came together.

Late Thursday afternoon our AC was installed which is a HUGE deal! Now if we can only get electricity then they can turn the AC on and get the humidity stable so the wood flooring can be delivered and installed. Keeping our fingers crossed that the electricity will happen this week.

All of our countertops arrived Friday morning and were installed.

We wanted a soapstone but since that was not offered by our builder we chose Silestone in Stellar Night. It is so pretty in person. All those little white flecks actually are little sparkles. I mean what girl doesn't need a little bling in her life!?:)

Along with the countertops my farmhouse sink came too!

It is not as deep as our previous sink but I am pretty sure I am going to love it none the less. Hoping for plumbing to start next week. I can not wait to see all of our faucets installed.

Hope that everyone is enjoying the long holiday weekend!

  2. Wow! I love your counters...we are so alike! Wanted Soapstone so bad but hubby and I had to compromise. I have Silestone in white with little flecks. And I wanted that farmhouse sink but our sink was only 5 years old...maybe next time around!

I'm so happy you guys are making so much progress. I'm loving reading about it, Pamela!

    1. Oh Jane, we are so much alike! I wanted the white milestone with the sparkle but our builder did not offer it!:( They only offered the black so black it was. We had seen several homes with the white sparkle and I was so in love. The houses were just way too big for us.
