The Blue Farmhouse- House Hunting Part 5

Today I am sharing yet another home we toured during our house hunting adventures.
Blue Farmhouse- From My Front Porch To Yours

This home is located in a community we had tried to find back in the fall but were unable to. Due to new roads opening up we were finally able to locate the community and imagine my delight when we pulled up to this home!

New construction and very much our style! My delight was quickly dashed though once we saw a SOLD sign in the yard. I asked the builder if we could walk it anyways and they said that was fine.

The kitchen was the perfect size.

The only thing I would have done to customize it to our style would be to change out the back splash. There was not a farmhouse sink but with it being an inventory home I could have lived with that.

This home had beautiful hardwood floors thru out the main living areas. It was a one and half story home with a game room and bath upstairs. Just perfect for us. Our boys hate being upstairs and to be honest after living in a two story for 7 years I was excited at the possibility of going back to mainly one story living.
Farmhouse-Dining Room- From My Front Porch To Yours
Nice size dining room that was just calling out for some custom wainscoting like our current home.
Farmhouse-Home Office- From My Front Porch To Yours
The home office was nice. It did not have the 14 ft ceilings that our current one has but again it is one story living.
Farmhouse- Master Bathroom-From My Front Porch To Yours
Master bath was a great size as well. Even larger than our current master bath.

Alas this home would have been perfect. It even sat on an over 15,000 sq ft lot which was certainly large enough for a pool and more. It checked off almost everything on our list so we left deflated but hopefull that we would find "our"  new house soon.

If you missed any of the previous homes we toured here is the list below. Do you have a favorite?

  4. You have some great options Pamela. SO many beautiful homes in the area you want. This one got away but you know another one will pop up and be perfect. That is just how these things work out. If it is meant to be it will all work out. Big b believer in that. Good luck with the hunt. I think that is the fun part about buying. The hunt!

  7. What a disappointment when the "perfect" house has already been sold. Are you moving to be in a better location or just because...
