Farmhouse Guest Bathroom

I have a list of projects I want to complete for 2016. One I completed last night but I need to finish putting away the Christmas decor so I can take pics for the reveal.
Farmhouse Guest Bathroom- From My Front Porch To Yours
Till then I thought that I would revisit a project that Mr. Front Porch and I completed four years ago. For some reason the post of the reveal no longer shows the pictures and I have been meaning to make up for that. Plus I have new followers that probably have not gone back that far in my posts so it will be like a new reveal for most!;)

Farmhouse Guest Bathroom- From My Front Porch To Yours
Here is how our guest bath looked after the first makeover I have it when we moved in over 6 years ago. Though it was cute and I liked the colors I was ready to go in a different direction.

Ripping out the builder vanity was actually a pretty easy task.

Thankfully we had found just enough left over tiles in our attic to fill in the missing tiles.
Farmhouse Guest Bathroom-Kirklands Vanity- From My Front Porch To Yours
I found this vanity at Kirklands on sale for less than $300. It was pretty but had a yellow tint to it which I did not want.
Farmhouse Guest Bathroom- Chalk Paint-Custom Bathroom Vanity-From My Front Porch To Yours
I used Old White and Old Ochre Chalk Paint along with clear wax and dark wax to create the new finish. For those of you wondering if the finish has held up over the years the answer is yes and I have not had to reapply the wax.

Farmhouse Guest Bathroom-Medicine Cabinet- From My Front Porch To Yours
I am not crazy about the medicine cabinet. It is painted in Paris Gray and in this space gives off a purple tint. The medicine cabinet is on my list of projects for this year.
Farmhouse Guest Bathroom-Two Shower Curtains- From My Front Porch To Yours
The best way to achieve a fuller shower curtain is to purchase two. It looks so much better than having just one stretched out over the tub.

Farmhouse Guest Bathroom- Sherwin Williams-Sea Salt-From My Front Porch To Yours
I just completed painting the closet doors Sherwin Williams Sea Salt. It is one my most favorite colors! I plan on changing out the door hardware this year.

I adore this little bathroom and now need to get back to finishing up our master bath because it is being completed in the same colors.

  14. Great remodel - love the shower curtain hooks. Did you use the original mirror and put a frame on it?

  15. We are embarking on a bathroom redo this month ourselves. Yours turned out fresh and lovely, but for a second there I thought Mr. Front Porch was working with a tie on.

  16. That's a super look still, Pamela. I love the tile backsplash, the double shower curtain (agree totally with your logic), and the SW sea salt color. Congrats on the Scoop feature, too!

    1. Hi 1900. Thank you for visiting! The shower curtains I purchased from Target years ago. They were part of their Shabby Chic Line.
