Farmhouse Christmas Porch-Wreath-From My Front Porch To Yours
I am sure everyone is busy with last minute shopping and wrapping. I know I have some wrapping to get to but before that I wanted to share our Christmas porch with y'all. I kept things fairly simple this year so not to stress out while still unpacking.

Farmhouse Christmas Tree 2016- The Candy Cane Forest

As I mentioned in our Christmas mantel reveal I tried to limit digging thru our holiday bins this year. I used mostly what I had collected over the past few months which was Ric-Rac Ribbon and Jingle Bell Garland. I placed it on the tree and decided that I was going to take it all off and start over because I was not loving it. One morning before school Littlest said hey mom I really like the tree. I was like what!? I told him I was not feeling it and he said well I love it mom. That started the quest of me completing the tree that I had started.

Farmhouse Christmas Mantel 2016- The New House

It is hard to believe that Christmas is only 10 days away! I feel like I am running behind this year but in actuality I am ahead, at least as far as sharing our holiday home is concerned.

Hello everyone! I hope that y'all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It has taken awhile but we are finally getting back to normal everyday life and things are coming together around the new house. I won't lie it has all been more than a tad overwhelming at times but as we check off things from our to-do list I feel so much better.

French Farmhouse Vintage Christmas Dining Room

*** Hope everyone is doing well. It has been a whirlwind past 3 weeks. We closed on our new house and moved out of the rental. Then Mr. Front Porch traveled to Japan for a week while I dealt with sick kiddos. Oldest gave me a run for my money on getting well but thankfully he is now on the upswing. Seasonal allergies have hit him heard this year. Mr. Front Porch arrived home and turned right back around and left again for a week. He will be back tomorrow!:) I would love to have pics to share of the new house but with all that has been going on not alot has been happening in the picture taking scene or unpacking. Thanksgiving week though we plan on tackling a bunch! With Christmas decorating on my mind and all of our holiday down in storage till next week I have been looking back thru pics of the old house and dreaming of what this one will become. I thought that I would reshare my favorite Christmas dining room from a few years back! Enjoy and be sure to check back by. You never know when new house pics may pop up!:)***
French Farmhouse Vintage Christmas Dining Room- From My Front Porch To Yours
Can you believe that Christmas is only a little over two weeks away!? I know I can not. I am almost done decking the halls, I just have the kitchen and a few things to do in the living room. Till those are completed I thought I would go ahead and share our dining room. Our dining room had a face lift back in the mid part of the year so I could not wait to see how it would look all decorated for the holidays.

Can you believe that Thanksgiving will be here in less than 2 weeks!? I do not know about you but I wish I could slow things down a bit. This is my favorite time of year but everything is always so rushed and over before we know it.

Round Top- A Quick Trip

Twice a year there is Antique Week up in and around Round Top,Texas. They have a Spring show and then one in the fall. I had not been in a few years and wanted to drive up. Round Top is only about an hour and half away from our new stomping ground but I did not want to go alone so when my friend Janet texted and asked if I wanted to go I said heck yea!

Fall Dining Room 2014-Revisiting

Today I thought that I would revisit my fall dining room from a few years back. The temps are beyond hot around here and it certainly does not feel like fall but at least we have pretty pics to look that make us dream about cooler temps!:)
From My Front Porch To Yours- Fall Dining Room 2014
I was excited to decorate the dining room this year for fall with all the changes from the makeover. I took so many pictures that I almost thought about breaking this post up into two. I narrowed them down the best that I could though so I hope that you enjoy!

Farmhouse Love

It is that time of year again when we get excited for Round Top Antique week. It actually lasts longer than a just a week because some places open up for two weeks. I am not sure if I will make it up there or not but I thought that I would take a trip down memory lane. Back in the Spring of 2015 we drove up to Round Top to tour some farmhouses that at the time a builder was offering. Since then the builder no longer builds them but they truly started our love and quest for a farmhouse style home.

Moving Right Along- Silestone Countertops & Farmhouse Sink

This past week things seemed to be going no where at the house but by the end of the week a bunch came together.
Our Suburban Farmhouse Build-From My Front Porch To Yours
Late Thursday afternoon our AC was installed which is a HUGE deal! Now if we can only get electricity then they can turn the AC on and get the humidity stable so the wood flooring can be delivered and installed. Keeping our fingers crossed that the electricity will happen this week.

Memory Lane-Fall Mantel 2012

Can y'all believe it is September already? This year is going by super fast but at the same time just seems to be dragging on an on. Since most of our year has been all about selling and building I thought that I would take us on a walk back down memory lane and share our fall mantel from 2012. I mean what better way to welcome September than with a little fall inspiration right!? So here is my post all the way back from 4 years ago!

Suburban Farmhouse Bathroom Selections

I mentioned in a post or two back that we had a total of 6 hours to choose everything for our home. The kitchen was the most stressful for me so instead of focusing on it the first day we moved on to our bathrooms. The bathrooms came together very easily for me.

The Makings of A Suburban Farmhouse Kitchen

Back at the beginning of April we went to the design center to choose everything for our new home build. We were given two 3 hour time slots. Let me tell you it was very nerve racking trying to narrow down exactly what finishes we wanted our new home to have. I had so many ideas and directions I wanted to go but I had no time to hem and haw over them. We had to make decisions quickly other wise we risked our optimal completion deadline.

Farmhouse Lighting-Our Suburban Farmhouse

As soon as we signed on the dotted line to build our dream suburban farmhouse...thinking of a name for it because every farmhouse needs a name :)...I started shopping around for lighting. The builder had upgraded selections to choose from but nothing that sparked my interest plus I knew I could find lighting at better prices.

French Country Farmhouse Thru The Years- Laundry Room & Half Bath

It has been a week and half since we bid farewell to our old home. It seems like it has been so much longer! The boys are now registered at their new schools and we have settled into the rental if you can really call living amongst boxes settled!;) School starts on the 22nd so now all we have to do is wait for the new house to be completed. There has been quite a bit of action in the last week that I shared here, here and here

Texas Hill Country House- House Hunting Part 4

Are you like me and houses have to speak to you? For me I can walk in a home and within the first step inside I can tell whether it is a house that speaks to me. I can tell whether it pulls at my heart strings. I can tell whether I can picture our family making a home there. Today on our house hunt tour I am sharing such a house.

Coming Along- Farmhouse Game Room

We currently own a two story house. There are two oversized bedrooms upstairs that have their own baths. There is also a game room and a media room. Our boys choose to share a bedroom. Their room is practically the same size as our master bedroom downstairs. When they were younger we rarely ever used the upstairs. They preferred being downstairs near us. Now that they are older they spend a ton of time up there between the game room and media room.

French Country Farmhouse Dining Room

It is bittersweet going thru and sharing pictures of our home with you all. Knowing all the hard work we put into this house to make it a home. All the memories we have made here. I pray that the next owners love and care for it as much as we have and still do.

Sewing & Craft Room

Tuesday is picture day! I tell ya getting a house ready to sell is not for the faint of heart. From the experience what I have
learned is that I am more of a minimalist than I thought so with that being said not as much will be coming into the new house. Second thing I learned is that I drag my feet way too long on projects hemming and hawing on exactly what I want to do instead of just doing it. I have thrown together several rooms that I just love and wish that I had completed them a long time ago so that we could have enjoyed them. So take it from me, if you are questioning a room makeover just do it! Do not drag your feet like I did.

One of the recently updated rooms is my sewing/craft room better known as our fourth bedroom. I started making it over about 5 years ago. Yes, I said 5 years ago and never competed it. I got wrapped up in painting furniture, opening a small booth, and then Littlest mentioned that he might want his own bedroom so that halted any plans to go further with the space.

Moving On- What We Have Been Up To

Hey everyone! It has been awhile since I have been able to blog on a regular basis. I have SOO much to share with you all. You see we have been up to something pretty big behind the scenes here. Something we have been contemplating and exploring for about three years now. We knew we wanted to do it but we just were not exactly sure when the right time was. After much prayer we decided that the right time has finally come.

Updated French Farmhouse Breakfast Nook

Hey everyone! I know it has been awhile since I last posted but we have something huge that Mr. Front Porch and I are working on. We do not want to share the details just yet but soon I promise. It has evolved a ton of prep work that I am still not completed with but I am getting closer. I decided to take little break from all the madness and snap some pics of our breakfast nook makeover. I soon will be sharing our stair reno as well! Yes after two years we finally completed it and I can not wait to share it.
I digress so back to the breakfast nook makeover!:)
