Treasure Hunt Thursday #190 & Highlights

Hope that everybody is having a great week so far. While the NE is busy digging out from the blizzard, here in SE Texas we are enjoying spring like temps. It is so crazy really and I hope we will return to winter soon because if it is 80 at the end of January I hate to think what is in store for the summer. So were you snowed in or are you enjoying the warmer temps?
This week I shared that Mr. Front Porch got a wild hair. Be sure to read all about it in my Dreaming of Wood Beams post. Also at the end of last week I shared the tutorial for our faux brick wall.

Dreaming of Wood Beams

I have always been drawn to spaces with wood beams. If you follow my Pinterest Boards Living Room Loving or Kitchen Loving you will see a lot of the rooms I have Pinned all have wood beams. 
I love the rustic feel they give to a space.

Can you imagine this gorgeous kitchen without the wood beams? To me it would still look beautiful but the wood beams make it complete.

Wood beams make such a statement whether they are in a formal setting or a casual setting. They just speak to me and I have always wanted some in our home. Mr.Front Porch and I have been pondering the idea for many years now but we have never taken the plunge. We have even researched the cost of installing faux wood beams.

Well the time has come! Mr. Front Porch got a wild hair and we made a list.

The supplies are bought and now we begin our next adventure of DIY home improvement. Wish us luck!;)
