Unfinished

Courtenay from Creek Line House posted last week about how she was going to share an unfinished project but her hubby messed it up because he went and finished it before she could post about how long it was taking to finish it. I thought it was hysterical and had joked to Courtney that she should see all of my unfinished projects. She responded and said she actually would love it. So here are just a few and I do mean a few of my unfinished works in progress.
Last September I shared my completed french armoire for the guest bedroom. I mentioned how I was planning on making panels for inside the doors. Well I got as far as putting the hardware up and those panels are still sitting patiently up in my sewing room.
This mirror I purchased back in the spring to make a faux tremeau mirror. It sits here in the dining room again patiently waiting.

Lets move out to the garage now shall we. I warn you the following pictures are not for the faint at heart!;)
Here is the farmhouse coffee table that believe it or not I had 95% completed but instead of sticking with what I know best which is poly I deiced to use a spray on protective top coat. BIG HUGE mistake. It left bubbles every where and now I am having heck of a time trying to get it all off. I am refusing to use stripper.
Speaking of stripping I have yet to finish stripping the red headboard for the guest bedroom. This project has literally gone on for 10 months now. Thankfully though I have finally found a stripper I just love so once it cools off this piece will be beautiful again. Note yet another mirror waiting patiently to be made over.
Then there is this corner of the garage which you can not even get to unless you open the garage door. Who knows what all is over there!? No, really I CAN tell you everything that is over there and once we gut the garage and organize it I will be busy busy busy! Right now I just do not have any work space which is why it is taking me so long to tackle things.

Did you notice the one thing our garage is lacking minus organization? A car!:) It drives my hubby insane but he loves me!:)

So there ya have it. The ugly at my house and shhhh, there are even a few more projects I didn't share!;)

No worries, my dining room and foyer I shared the other day now actually look like they should so I do actually accomplish a few things!:)

Hope your week has been a good one. Before I go reminder that today is the last day to enter to win the petite frenchy wall clock I am giving away in honor of the grand opening of my web shop so head over and enter if you have not already. Tomorrow I will be announcing the winner!:)

Treasure Hunt Thursday #69 & Highlights.

Welcome to Treasure Hunt Thursday #69!! Every week our party just keeps growing with so much talent and new faces. I love stopping by to visit y'all. So much eye candy to look thru.
Before we get to the highlights I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for everybody's kind words and support over the weekend when I opened up my web shop Finch & Co. Designs! You still have time to enter to win this fabulous petite frenchy clock  I am giving away so be sure to head over and get your name in. The giveaway ends midnight Friday.

Now on to last weeks highlights. There were so many fabulous entries that it was hard to choose.
Land Of Encraftment shared how she turned a basic chandelier into a show stopper. Love all the bling!

Life on Lakeshore Drive shared this beautiful side table she made over. Certainly a piece you do not want to miss!

The Farmhouse Porch shared her ironstone display. You must head over and view her entire dining room!

The Eccentric Leopard shared her fabulous living room transformation. Loving her rug!

Market Nine Studio shared her studio make over details. It is divine!

As always thank you to all who partied last week! I am so truly honored to have such talent partying at my place! If you were featured please feel free to grab the "I've Been Featured" button!:) I have the newly updated button with html code on my sidebar!

What would be a HUGE help and encourage more comments not just from me but others as well would be for everybody to take off their required verification codes for leaving a comment. This seems to take just a few seconds of time but when you have to do it on 30 or more blogs it takes up a TON of time. Last week most everybody had turned off their Word Verification which made it so much easier for me to stop by everybody's links! Thank you!

READ THE RULES PLEASE!:)
Now on to this weeks party!
As with all parties there are the normal rules. You must link back to From My Front Porch To Yours in your THT POST. Just common courtesy. If ya don't link back ya don't get to party. Only link up to your Treasure Hunt Thursday post and NOT your blog homepage. Please No advertising and PLEASE NO MORE than 3 links from the SAME party goer. Also NO MORE linking up to your own link parties. I am seeing more and more link ups of just people promoting their own linky parties. I know it takes time to go back and make a separate post to join the party but it is just the polite thing to do. If you find your post deleted it is not because I am a meany, I just have to make sure the rules are being followed. You can save some of your posts for the following weeks party! Please only link up new posts and not posts that you linked up the week before. Also be sure to visit at least the link before you and after you to just say Hi! It makes partying all the more fun! If you are new around here I would love it if ya become a follower!:)

Hubby Power

I thought that I would keep it real and show y'all what my house looks like right now. This is just part of the inventory for my shop and part of my items from my space out at the cottage. It doesn't stop here.
It trickles on into the foyer and living room. The living room only because that is where I am working on my hutch that I brought home last Monday. Is the chaos driving me insane? Yeah, just a tad but I am learning to let go and just roll with the punches.

Speaking of the hutch, I started painting it and then an idea came to me. I started on the idea when The Hubster was at work but I wasn't able to complete my idea on my own.
I needed some hubby power!
We pulled out all the stops to get this shelf off. It was never intended to come off!
Finally victory. My hubby is the best! Never once did he curse my idea. He actually hopped right to it as soon as I mentioned it even after a very long day at work. I just knew I would meet resistance but nope.
This is what I was left with. Do you see that tiny little something there?
There was a small nail that had to go. We didn't want to tap it in due to the fear that it would have come out the other side into the cabinet.
So out came the Dremel. Yes, I was a little nervous at this point. I figured if I needed to I could have grabbed the sink faucet and started spraying!;)
Next up was sanding down the areas.
Then I needed to patch up all the holes. There were three on each side where the dowels were.
This is where I am at after a little more sanding. Louise thinks this may just turn out to be a great place to hang out after all.
Here is a sneak peek at the finish I am attempting!
I am hoping to be completed with the hutch this week so we can move it into the dining room this weekend.
Before you go don't forget to head over and enter to win my giveaway for this adorable frenchy wall clock if you have not already! The giveaway is open thru Friday night midnight!

Grand Opening Day!

This GiveAway is NOW CLOSED!
I am beyond thrilled to announce that it is finally time to welcome customers to my site-Finch & Co. Designs!! As I mentioned this past week I lost my local space where I showcase my work so this site means so much more to me now. I put a lot time into the selection of items to offer my shoppers and I hope that that shows! This venture was truly a labor of love and something I have been working on for quite some time. I hope that you love it as much as I do!
Ol' Bessie is one of my favorite items! When I first saw her I knew I had to order her and she is even more grand in person! I only have one of her in my shop right now because I decided to keep one of her for myself!;) If I have enough requests for her though I can put together another order. I am just going to request a half deposit so I can place the order. Once I reach the minimum order amount I will contact you to let you know the order was placed.
Since I am just starting out I did not order a large amount of any one item so if you like it buy it or it may be gone!:( Once my customer basis grows my inventory will too!:)
Shoppers are able to look thru vintage finds and custom creations on my site as well! As I make and find things I will be updating  my site so check back often! You never know what you might find.
In honor of Grand Opening day of Finch & Co. Designs I am hosting a give away for all my wonderful followers!
I am giving away this charming petite pendulum wall clock! It measures approx 4.75 wide x 14 inches long and runs on one AA battery.

All you have to do to be entered to win the clock is one of the following or all of the following. For each thing that you do leave me a comment to be entered!

1. Go to Finch & Co. Designs and take a look around the shop. Afterwards come back here and tell me what your favorite item is.

2.Share on your blog about my grand opening.

3.Become a Follower of my blog.

That's three ways you can win! You do NOT have to have a blog to enter but please be sure to leave me an email address so if your number is chosen I have a way to contact you.
I will leave this giveaway open till midnight Aug 17 and announce the winner on Aug 18! For you to be entered you MUST leave a comment on this BLOG post and NOT on my FB page. If you leave it on my FB page you will not be entered. It is just too hard to keep up with that.

Thank you to all of you for coming along with me on this journey called blogging! It has been so much more fun than I ever imagined! I hope that you enjoy shopping my store!
