Treasure Hunt Thursday #43 & Highlights

Welcome to Treasure Hunt Thursday # 43! Hope your week is going well. I can not believe it is already Feb 8th. With that in mind I thought that I would Highlight some fabulous Valentine ideas from our party goers!

The gals over At The Picket Fence always get crafty and came up with these adorable candy topiaries!

Alderberry Hill shared some of her fabulous Valentine ideas! I love the Be Mine banner.

My Wonderfully Made shared a tutorial on how to make these adorable Vintage Music Prints!

And Fox Hollow is ALWAYS getting her craft on! She puts me to shame!;) Go check out her Valentine mantel.

As always thank you to all who partied last week!If you were featured please feel free to grab the "I've Been Featured" button!:) Though I was unable to leave a comment on every persons blog please know that I did stop by and visit!! I appreciate everybody taking the time to come over every week! What would be a HUGE help and encourage more comments not just from me but others as well would be for everybody to take off their required verification codes for leaving a comment. This seems to take just a few seconds of time but when you have to do it on 30 or more blogs it takes up a TON of time.

Now on to this weeks party!
As with all parties there are the normal rules. You must link back to From My Front Porch To Yours in your THT POST. Just common courtesy. If ya don't link back ya don't get to party. Only link up to your Treasure Hunt Thursday post and NOT your blog homepage. Please No advertising and PLEASE NO MORE than 3 links from the SAME party goer. If you find your post deleted it is not because I am a meany, I just have to make sure the rules are being followed. You can save some of your posts for the following weeks party! Also be sure to visit at least the link before you and after you to just say Hi! It makes partying all the more fun! If you are new around here I would love it if ya become a follower!:)

Neat Place to Visit

Back in November we visited The Nana & The Papa at their new home. Just around the way from their house is this fabulous old water mill that The Papa had to take us to.

I do not remember what this place was called and I would just them and ask but it is way late and I am sure they are in bed by now.

It was  a beautiful old place and so very peaceful.

The boys had fun running around even though the water was ice cold. Mind you it was November in north Ga.

The water breaking thru the small holes in the dam wall.

Beautiful Old Mill House down the way.

This place made for some great pictures!

I think that there may be times when you can actually tour the mill house.

The boys have not stopped talking about this little gem of a spot! They have a small park and picnic area as well with a working water spicket that you have to pump. We look forward to visiting it again the next time we are in town.

Treasure Hunt Thursday #42 & Highlights

Welcome to Treasure Hunt Thursday #42!

Sorry I am running a little behind. I have been trying to do to many things at one time!;)

We had a large turn out last week. Our largest to date which got me really excited! I am hoping that maybe this week we can top 100 party goers so be sure to invite all your friends to come and party too!

I fell in love with these pillows that Dusty from Cherish Life made! I love them so much I think I am going to get her to make me a few!;)

With Valentines Day coming up I loved this quick and easy project that Tami from Curb Alert shared!

And oh my when I saw this $20 desk my heart skipped a beat! Mel over at Shabby Loco did an amazing job on this piece!

As always thank you to all who partied last week!

Recent Score!

Look what I found on the local yard sale site yesterday!!

Just look at all of its frenchiness!

I have not one but yes TWO of these beautiful chairs!

Okay well not really beautiful in the state that they are in right now and I know I paid way more than I should have for them but I mean really who could resist!!?? They are now sitting out in the garage till they get made over cause they really were dirty nasty. I am going to make one over to keep and then sell the other one to cover my costs!

Before I go as you may or may not know Google Friends Connect is going away soon for non Bloggers. What does that mean? Well if you have a blog hosted on another site such as Wordpress you will no longer have Google Friends Connect to follow blog or to have people follow your blog. This I believe will effect you as well if you are not a blogger.

So what were we to do? Nobody knew but then some bloggers contacted Brent from Linky Tools, ya know that fabulous tool that allows us to host our fabulous link parties every week. Well Brent came up with a new tool called Linky Followers! Yes, you have to sign up and become a  member but it is FREE!!

I am in love with it cause it allows you to organize all the blogs that you follow. Now you can mark them as General or as Favorite which I am a big fan of. There are so many blogs that we follow and it has always been hard to remember which ones were my favorites. You can also create a blog roll and feature followers with this fabulous new tool!

So if ya got a sec I would LOVE for you to Follow Me using this awesome new tool! You can click here on this widget or go to my side bar under Follow Me. Be sure to leave me a comment so I can follow back!

I will more than likely do away with the Google Friends Connect widget eventually so people don't get confused or overloaded with Follow options. I think one follow option and then email subscriptions are enough.

Hope your weekend is going well!

Stair Landing Inspiration

Okay so I am in the process of redoing our stair landing. I have grand plans you see and well I have to start out small and work to the larger ones like taking the carpet off the stairs.

I found this pic off the internet a few weeks back and I fell instantly in love with it!

I have this page marked in one of my decorating books. I love of course the stairs and then that large clock art work on the wall.
I found this beautiful clock at Kirklands this past week and brought it home to see if it work on the wall to upstairs. I thought it was a good one and not as industrial as my inspiration pic but....

I also have this inspiration page marked in one of my other decorating books. I love the stairs yet again and the vintage mirrors that go up the wall. It makes the space so bright and airy.

I have dreams of one day getting this pot light swapped out to a chandy! It would be sooo divine!

So right now this space is not very inspiring what so ever. I think I am going to take the clock back. Although as nice as it is I want to brighten this space up and since I can not repaint due to the two story nature I think the mirror display will be best. I also want to make new curtains and possibly even take away the iron scrolly piece above the window.
I have been on the hunt for a bench with similar lines as my inspiration pic with the window. HobLob had one I think but when I went back to look at it of course it was gone. Today though I picked something up that may change the whole bench idea.

So that is what I have been up to. Planning out grand plans! It of course did not stop at the stair landing. I have dreams for our living room and our half bath and our master bedroom! All little fixes but of course all cost money so off to paint some more furniture to sell!;)

Hope your weekend is going well!
