Window Shopping

With the garage cleaned up I am now on a mission to get some of my projects completed that are out there. To do that though involved a trip to the local antique shop. I knew it would be tempting to shop because who could resist but my friend Kele and I will be heading to Round Top in a few weeks so I knew I could only window shop.
Meet Claudine! She will be our guide today!;) She was quite amusing to say the least.
Her space was full of romantic beauty.
I loved this chest.
Littliest said I needed this cabinet to keep all my paint supplies in. I agree! It is fabulous.
Some antique bread boards.
This is a beautiful table but I think it may sit there awhile due to its size. Can you imagine how large of a dining room you would have to have to fit this piece!?
I thought this bed was beautiful.
A conversation piece.
A nice pop of color.
I fell head over heels for this china!! I so wanted to bring at least a few pieces home. They would have been perfect for decorating the dining room for fall. The pricing was a tad confusing though. One of pieces said 78 pieces with the number $109 which was an awesome deal but still more than I wanted to spend and more pieces than I needed. Then another sticker said 78 pieces for $399. I was confused and wish it was sold by the piece so it all stayed behind. I might try and see if I can find some on Ebay. The seller said they were imported from England. I should have taken a pic of the pattern on the bottom.
I am not usually a bright colored fan on pieces like this but this piece was gorgeous!!
This was a another piece I just loved. Super cute indeed. I wish I could figure out how to do transfers like that.
A great roo picture.
This space was full of shabby goodness and if I wasn't saving I could have brought home a few things for sure from this space.
I loved this little stool. I am looking for one for in the half bath to hold a basket. I kept telling myself that I would find something even better at Round Top.

I was amazed that almost every space was full at the antique shop. Back in the spring it was so empty. If it was not 45 minutes away from our house I would look into renting a space here.

Anyways, the hunt for paint was fruitless pretty much. All the colors I needed were sold out. I did purchase a can of milk paint to play with though. I have  never used it before and so I was intrigued. I will share my thoughts on it once I get further along with the piece I am using it on.

Don't forget to check out Treasure Hunt Thursday! We are only 12 away from reaching 100 party goers!! It will be a first. Also if you are in the mood to shop I just recently put a lot of items on special in my shop Finch & Co. Designs as a thank you for the support! New goodies are on the way! Ol' Bessie is sold out once again so I will be placing another order for her soon. If you are interested in pre ordering one let me know.

Hope your weekend is going well!

  5. Wow, Pamela, this place is awesome! I see so many pretties!!! I really love the furniture pieces. That chair reminds me of the ones that Restoration Hardware came out with...basically, taken down to the frame. I would love to visit there on my next trip down!
