A Napkin & Some Webbing

I have had these pretty red toile napkins sitting around for awhile now. My mama gave them to me several years ago. I also have a ton of jute webbing that I ordered back at Christmas hoping that it would come in in time for me to put on the tree but it didn't. So what do you do when you have some napkins and some jute webbing just laying around collecting dust?
You go upstairs and dust off your old best friend. I have not used my sewing machine in sometime. We use to spend hours upon hours together.

In less than 30 minutes this is what I came up with. Not bad for my first attempt at making a pillow!

Now if I can only figure out how to blind stitch it closed! I have spent almost two hours attempting it last night and had to just sit it down and walk away. Hopefully it will come to me today.

Before I go I have to tell ya how truly honored I am to have our home featured over Debbiedoos! Just click on the button and it will take ya over to her fabulous blog.

Also don't forget Treasure Hunt Thursday is still going on strong! Grab your treasures and your projects and head on over and link up!

  1. You'll get it. Sewing is like riding a bike...might take a while to remember the steps, but it comes back to you.
Napkins make great pillow covers. Adding the webbing, was a great touch.

  2. Cute, cute! I had made some pillows out of the very same toile fabric, and they sold like hotcakes in the junktique store. I think I have some left, and I also have some webbing so I may have to make a few like this. I love this webbing. I actually used it on my Christmas tree this past Christmas. Have a great Easter week-end!

  21. I love the pillow! Oh, the blind stitch! I have to re-remember it every time I make a pillow...since I don't sew often enough. I always end having my friend show me again. Just finished touring your house over at Debbiedoo's. I love so many things about it! The window treatments, the wood floors, and all of the fabulous deals you find. I'm going to have to tag along with you when you go thrifing! Seriously.
